Lambert-St. Louis International Airport
Lambert partnered with the St. Louis area chapter of the American Heart Association to develop the walking paths as part of that organization’s national campaign called Start! The program promotes active, year-round participation in walking for healthier lifestyles.
“We know passengers often arrive early and have extra time before they board,” said *** Hrabko, Director Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. “The walking paths give our passengers an incentive to squeeze in some healthy exercise during their busy travel schedules.”
Most passengers can access the two one-mile walking paths after clearing through security. The Main Walking Path is just beyond the C/D security checkpoint in the Main Terminal. The East Walking Path is just west of the security checkpoint in the East Terminal. Both paths are routed through Lambert’s D Concourse.
Walkers can keep track of their distance with highly visible Start! markers at each quarter-mile point along the paths.
Other recent Lambert Advantage programs include a live music performance area called the “Music Spot,” rocking chairs for passengers and new cell phone parking lot.
