Third Annual Traveling Missouri Adoption Heart Gallery to Open in Kansas City
ST LOUIS MO NEWS (stlouismo.com) — The Missouri Department of Social Services' Children's Division (CD) will launch its third annual Missouri Traveling Adoption Heart Gallery tomorrow at the Crown Center in Kansas City. The Heart Gallery is a traveling photo exhibit of Missouri foster children awaiting adoption. This year's gallery features 238 children in 185 portraits.
Photos featured in the 2008 gallery are taken by professional photographers across the states who donate their time and talent. Since the gallery began in Missouri more than 100 children have been placed with adoptive families.
"We are thrilled to launch the Heart Gallery's annual tour at Crown Center in Kansas City. We can't say enough about their continued support and dedication to the DSS Children's Division's mission to find permanent, loving homes for children in foster care," said CD Director Paula Neese. "The gallery would not be possible without local organizations like them stepping up to host the gallery. We are indebted to them for their assistance."
