Tea Party on Saturday, July 12, at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site

ST LOUIS MO (stlouismo.com) -- Step back in time and enjoy a Victorian tea party on Saturday, July 12, at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site in Lexington. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the event is 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anderson House. It is free and open to the public.

As you enjoy a cup of tea and some desserts, learn the "language of the fans." Materials will be available for guests to make their own Victorian fan.

This event is being held in conjunction with the "Ladies Sentiments" event throughout the town. Lexington merchants will display and demonstrate crafts and gifts from the past, such as friendship albums, journals, quilts, silhouettes and fancy-work.

Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is located on Delaware Street in Lexington.  For more information, contact the historic site at 660-259-4654 or the Department of Natural Resources toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
