“Legislation I signed in 2005 is making it harder for trial lawyers to game the legal system and score big and unwarranted payouts,” Gov. Blunt said. “Litigation reform has been a great success for the people of Missouri. We cannot rest on past victories because opponents of lawsuit reform will not give up easily. They will always push to create a legal environment that is disadvantageous to the targets of frivolous lawsuits and anything that stands in the way of a bigger payout for them.”
