St. Louis Rams - professional American football team based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are currently members of the Western Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The team has won three NFL Championships including one Super Bowl.
-
Round 1/2—Chris Long, DE, 6-3, 279, Virginia
On a team that totaled 5.5 sacks from its defensive ends last season, Long is expected to jump right in and start at right end. He hates the term high motor, but Long is just that: A relentless competitor in the mod of his Pro Football Hall of Fame father, Howie Long.
Round 2/33—Donnie Avery, WR, 5-11, 192, Houston
The Rams love his speed, an attribute lacking in their receiver corps. Avery has the ability to separate from defenders and just has to become more consistent catching the ball. But he should be able to provide the defense-stretching speed the Rams lost when Kevin Curtis left as a free agent last year.
Round 3/65—John Greco, T, 6-5, 326, Toledo
Some view him as a guard because of lack of athleticism and short arms, but the Rams love his toughness and believe he can compete immediately at right tackle. He is versatile enough to play guard, if he struggles too much at tackle.
Round 4/101—Justin King, CB, 5-11, 192, Penn State
Didn’t become a cornerback on a full-time basis until 2006 after starting his career as a wide receiver. The Rams love his speed and believe coaching will help him develop into a good cover guy. Many projections had him as a second-round pick.
Round 4/128—Keenan Burton, WR, 6-0, 202, Kentucky
Has outstanding speed and scored 25 career touchdowns. Injuries have held him back, playing his senior season on a bad ankle and then undergoing knee surgery after the season that kept him out of the Senior Bowl. Could be a fourth-round steal if he can stay healthy.
Round 5/157—Roy Schuening, OG, 6-4, 308, Oregon State
Another player the Rams like for his toughness and love for the game. Started 50 consecutive games in college, and should provide depth on a line riddled with injury last season.
Round 7/228—Chris Chamberlain, WLB, 6-2, 226, Tulsa
Very productive in college with 165 tackles as a senior, but could be undersized at linebacker. Some projections had him as a strong safety at the next level, but for now the Rams will put him on the weak side.
Round 7/252—David Vobora, SLB, 6-1, 236, Idaho
A four-year starter, Vobora was very productive and manages to often be around the ball. He should be able to contribute on special teams, and is ticketed for competition on the strong side.
Notes, Quotes
• DE Chris Long, the Rams’ first-round pick, was asked if he has a preference of what number he will wear with the team. Long wore No. 91 in college, but that belongs to Rams DE Leonard Little.
Said Long, “I thought about it a little bit. I just really have to talk to my family and see what they want. I couldn’t really care less. I hope that I can make that number worth something. Obviously, my college number, Leonard has it, but that’s in the past. It’s a new chapter in my life and just as I changed my number in college, I will wear a new number here.”
However, Long said there’s no way it will be No. 75, the number worn by his father Howie in the NFL. Asked if that would be a distraction, Long said, “Yeah it would. I think that I am cool with the pressure, but there is no need to shovel it on myself.”
• Steve Ortmayer was the general manager of the Rams from 1995-96 when Rich Brooks was the head coach and before the hiring of *** Vermeil.
When Brooks became coach at the University of Kentucky, he hired Ortmayer as special teams coach. Ironically, Ortmayer was partially responsible for the Rams’ selection of WR Keenan Burton in the fourth round of the draft.
A receiver and kickoff returner, Burton was asked how much Ortmayer helped him on special teams. Said Burton, “He helped me a great deal. Coach Ortmayer has a great mind and he is the reason I was as successful as I was in the return game.”
• The Rams hope third-round pick John Greco will be able to come in and compete with Alex Barron at right tackle. Barron has been durable and solid, but at times his passion for the game has been questioned. Coaches love Greco’s toughness, despite not having the physical tools of Barron.
Said coach Scott Linehan, “Well he is going to compete right away. We are just being realistic here. He is adding depth across the board on our line. I think the realistic part is he is going to be competing right away, whether it’s this year or part way through the year, I don’t know. It’s probably too early to say but he definitely has the make-up to compete sooner than later that’s for sure.”
• For the second consecutive year, the Rams drafted a cornerback on the second day of the draft that began his career as a receiver. In 2007, it was third-round pick Jonathan Wade. This year’s it fourth-round pick Justin King.
Asked about King, coach Scott Linehan said, “I think he made the move a little sooner than Jonathan. He has been playing corner since the end of his freshman year. He played a little bit his first year, but the last few years he has pretty much primarily been a corner. He has great speed and has got the size requirements you need for the position. The great thing about this guy is that he is making those steps that you want to see him make as far as improvement from his position in college.”
Linehan also noted that King has graduated from school and was on the Dean’s list. Said Linehan, “(That) shows you that he has got a lot on the ball as far as that goes. He is a very, very top-notch guy with talent.”
Quote To Note: “Really? I guess I need to step up.”—WR Donnie Avery, selected in the second round, when informed the last time the Rams picked with the 33rd selection in the draft, their choice was WR Isaac Bruce.

Frontiere Died of Cancer at Approximately 3:45 P.M. (pst) at the UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, CA. Her Family Was in Attendance. Funeral Information is Not Yet Available.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Georgia Frontiere has the distinction of being one of the very few women owners of a major sports franchise, the St. Louis Rams football team. She is not only recognized for her enthusiastic support and commitment to the team, but also for her generous charitable contributions and numerous activities in a wide range of worthy causes.
A patron of the arts, Georgia is a fascinating, complex, and colorful woman whose roller coaster life experiences as a professional opera soprano, Tony-nominated Broadway producer, TV talk show host, poet, wife, mother, and highly successful CEO and majority owner of a major sports franchise have made her a most admired and respected Renaissance woman around the world.
She inherited the Los Angeles Rams franchise in 1979 when her husband, Carroll Rosenbloom, tragically lost his life while swimming off the south coast of Florida. Since that time Georgia has been the constant driving force behind the great success of the Super Bowl Champion Rams, which today enjoys the position of being one of the most valuable franchises in all of professional sports.
Fifty years after leaving St. Louis, Georgia moved the Rams from Los Angeles to her home town in 1995. "St. Louis is my home," said Frontiere, "and I brought my team here to start a new dynasty. Bringing an NFL team to St. Louis was a dream come true for me and this great city, and I believe that winning the Super Bowl has been instrumental in helping this community gain the recognition that it deserves."
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Georgia was born at St. Mary’s Hospital, November 21, 1927, the daughter of St. Louis businessman Reginald Irwin and Lucia Pamela Beck, an American musician and bandleader who was voted Miss St. Louis in 1926. Lucia was featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not for memorizing a record 10,000 songs, and later formed what is thought to be the first professional all-girl orchestra.

When Georgia was just 15, her parents divorced. It was during this period that Georgia attended Hamilton Elementary School and Jr./Sr. Seldan High School. "I have many wonderful memories of playing sports at Hamilton School while growing up in St. Louis," said Georgia. "We mostly played softball, and I was a pretty good outfielder and batter. I loved ice skating, and went nearly every afternoon to the Winter Garden and paid only 25 cents, provided that I helped teach some beginners during part of my practice. I also played sandlot or gravel lot football, until the boys got too big. To this day, when I see a wide receiver catch the ball, I remember and relate back to my childhood experiences.
"My uncle Chauncey taught me to play golf when I was seven or eight," Georgia continued. "I played with six clubs, and carried them myself (they were taller than I was). Golf is still one of the games I play as often as I can."
From the time she left St. Louis at age 18 in 1945 Georgia traveled throughout America and Europe doing a host of singing jobs. She was discovered singing in Key West, Fla., by Tennessee Williams, which eventually led to her becoming a "Today" Show co-host with Dave Garroway for several months, and then to her own daily talk show in Miami, Fla. A fan of the TV show, Joseph P. Kennedy, father of president-to-be John F. Kennedy, asked her to a dinner party at his Palm Beach mansion. It was at that dinner that she met Carroll Rosenbloom. She was 30, he was 50, they fell in love and later married. They had two children, a son, Dale "Chip" Rosenbloom, and daughter, Lucia Rodriguez, both of whom are married and live in Southern California.
"Our mother is a Rosenbloom," Chip and Lucia said. "People don’t realize that our parents were together for 20 years, and our mother was the love of our father’s life. He wanted her to have the team, and she’s done a tremendous job as an owner. Mom and Rams Vice-Chairman Stan Kroenke have a great relationship as owners, and there are no plans to change the dynamic of the ownership. In 1997 our mother and Stan, with the help of Rams president John Shaw, created the St. Louis Rams Foundation and, to date, the Foundation and the Rams have contributed more than $5 million to charities in the St. Louis region."
Georgia’s many philanthropic activities have included being a board member for Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, national board member of the American Foundation for AIDs Research, NFL Alumni Board of Governors, Board of Trustees of St. Louis University, member of the St. Louis Symphony, the St. Louis Zoo, among others. Internationally, Georgia is on the board of directors of the American Air Museum in Britain in Duxford, England, the St. John’s Ambulance Brigade of Great Britain, and has been a major contributor to the St. John’s Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem. Georgia Frontiere is a beneficiary of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for Community Involvement.
Georgia is an accomplished soprano, having recently joined Bill Hayes and Richard Fredricks for an "Evening With Lerner and Loewe" with the St. Louis Symphony. She has performed several concerts with the Beverly Hills Pops Orchestra, and was twice the featured soloist at the Easter Sunrise Services at the Hollywood Bowl. Her love for music and opera influenced her to become a member of the Golden Horseshoe of the New York Metropolitan Opera, and is a member of the Founders of the Los Angeles Music Center Opera Board. "Funny, in my early days, I thought I’d become a big opera star in Europe," Frontiere said.
Georgia has homes in St. Louis, Mo, Sedona, Az, and Malibu, Ca, where she now spends a good deal of her time being close to her son and daughter and her grandchildren. For the past 19 years, Georgia and her long-time companion Earle Weatherwax have joyfully shared their life together.

The St Louis Rams put an end to a miserable season. Larry Fitzgerald caught 11 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns, and Arizona kicked the crap out of the St. Louis Rams 48-19 on Sunday, the Cardinals' highest-scoring output in 30 years!
The .500 record under first-year coach Ken Whisenhunt is the Cardinals's best since going 9-7 and making the playoffs in 1998. The Cardinals' only other non-losing season in 23 years was 8-8 in 1994 when that *** Buddy Ryan's first season as Arizona's coach.
"This is the building blocks for what we've got to do," Fitzgerald said. "I think this is great momentum."
Kurt Warner (why did we trade him again?) threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns but was intercepted twice. Oshiomogho Atogwe returned one of the picks 52 yards for a score that cut the Cardinals' lead to 31-19 with 1:48 left in the third quarter.
Anquan Boldin's 20-yard touchdown reception, his career-best ninth scoring catch of the season, boosted the lead to a comfortable 38-19 with 13:37 to play.
"We feel like we're a playoff team," Boldin said. "It's unfortunate that we're not going to continue to play because we're starting to hit our stride, especially on offense. That's something we can take into next season, to not let games go, because there are definitely a couple of games we would like to have back."
The St Louis Rams 3-13, had injuries most of the year, finished with a 4 game losing streak after opening 0-8.
Aisleyne Horgan
"I think everybody knows that injuries are part of the game, and our job is to set our team up so we are in position and able to make the necessary adjustments to play with whatever injuries happen," Rams coach Scott Linehan said. "We weren't able to do it this year, and we fell short in a lot of areas. Just look at our record."'
Antrel Rolle intercepted two of Marc Bulger's passes, returning the first 47 yards for a touchdown. It was Rolle's third return of a pick for a score this season. Gerald Hayes intercepted Gus Frerotte's pass and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown with 3:09 left.
Lost in the one-sided defeat was Jeff Wilkins tying Jason Elam's NFL record for consecutive conversion kicks at 371.
Kurt Warner (Why is he not in St Louis), who took over from injured Matt Leinart against the Rams five games into the season, threw for 27 touchdowns, one shy of the Cardinals' season record shared by Charley Johnson and Neil Lomax.
The Arizona Cardinals finished 6-2 at home. Sunday's 48 points were the most since the then St. Louis Cardinals of coach Don Coryell beat New Orleans 49-31 on Oct. 23, 1977. Edgerrin James rushed for 102 yards on 24 carries, including a 2-yard TD run. Larry Fitzgerald had TD catches of 20 and 6 yards, finished the season with 100 receptions.

Selected this season to his second Pro Bowl, the 24-year-old Fitzgerald broke a franchise record for a first half with 136 yards receiving, helping Arizona open a 24-6 lead. His eight first-half catches tied a first-half franchise mark.
The Cardinals went for it on fourth-and-4 and made it both times to the endzone for touchdowns. The teams traded field goals in the first quarter, then a gamble by the Rams backfired. St. Louis failed to make it on fourth-and-4 at the Arizona 43.
The Cardinals went 57 yards in eight plays, the last 20 on runs of 15, 3 and 2 by James, and it was 10-3 with 7:45 left in the half. On the second play from scrimmage after the kickoff, Rolle made a diving interception, then got to his feet and evaded tacklers on a scrambling, 47-yard return for a score. Torry Holt became the 19th player in NFL history to have at least 800 career receptions - not bad for last week's crybaby.

Hollywood Celebs in the news - August 12
First things first - It was like fingernails on a chalk board listening to the three stooges do the Thursday night game.. just becasue its the NFL Network doesnt mean you have to fill the booth with actual retarded football players! That's all i am gonna say about that nightmare - my ears are still ringin.
Willie Willie Willie - Willie Parker's season took a dirt road after his first carry, and the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to play without the NFL's leading rusher IF they get to the playoffs. They are in fantastic shape if they play the St. Louis Rams every week.. but I don't think that is going to happen.

Najeh Davenport, backup running back with no stats basically, has two huge games since entering the league as a fourth-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2002. Both have come against the Rams, with Davenport's two-touchdown, 123-yard rushing effort pacing a 41-24 victory on Thursday night.
Willie Parker broke a bone in his lower right leg in the first quarter, giving the Steelers plenty of time to adjust to the new reality.
"Our heart goes out to him because he's a competitor, he's a warrior," coach Mike Tomlin said. "As a team, we're not going to throw a pity party. It's part of the game, people get hurt, we'll adapt and improvise and move forward."
The Steelers' top-rated defense looked like crap again, but they made enough stops against the rams to help Pittsburgh out of a late-season nosedive and move one step closer to the playoffs. Not that it matters since they will get hammered.
The Rev. Isaac Bruce caught a 12-yard touchdown pass for the St Louis Rams and moved into 3r place on the career yards receiving list, moving ahead of James Lofton. Marc Bulger threw three touchdown passes but was intercepted twice, and Ike Taylor's 51-yard return on an overthrown ball on 4th-and-10 with 3:46 to go put the game out of reach.

Wide receiver Torry Holt was caught on cameras screaming at coach Scott Linehan after the interception. Holt declined comment after the game, but it looks like Mr. Holt picked a fine time (national television) to show how much of an ass he can be. true colors never shined so bright.
"It's not a big deal, not to me," Linehan said. "It something said in the heat of the battle to his coach and it's over as far as I'm concerned." - Yeah keep telling yourself that coach - that little *** probably just got you fired.
Bulger said and Linehan had been talking about backup Gus Frerotte taking over before Holt started yelling at the coach.
"I honestly don't know what they were arguing about," Bulger said. "My discussion had nothing to do with Torry unless he was really upset I was going out of the game." Well Markie Mark - arent you the proud one! yeah i am sure he was that pissed about you coming out of the game.. maybe he was pissed you get $65 million for losing?!
The only other highlight for the Rams (3-12) was retiring pudgy Marshall Faulk's No. 28 jersey at halftime of the Rams' home finale. Bruce, who passed Marvin Harrison last week on the yardage list, caught seven passes for 87 yards and has 940 career receptions, tied for sixth with Art Monk.
St. Louis finished 1-7 at home and had three games blacked out because it didn't sell out, and in each of the last two weeks there have been nearly as many visitors as home fans in the Edward Jones Dome.
Parker, who has 1,316 yards, limped off the field with about 12 minutes to go in the first quarter. Davenport eased any worries with a game that rivaled his 178-yard effort for the Packers against the Rams, in a 45-17 Monday night victory in 2004. He was filling in for Ahman Green at the time.
Ben Roethlisberger was 16-for-20 for 261 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions for the Steelers, who had lost three of five to fall into a tie with the Browns for the AFC North lead. Roethlisberger had his first 200-yard passing effort in five games by halftime, helping to revive a struggling offense. That fat ass actually had 200 yards?! can you beleive it!
The Steelers, 8-8 last season, can clinch the division with a Cleveland loss at Cincinnati on Sunday. They also can clinch a playoff berth if the Titans lose to the Jets.
Davenport entered the game with 349 yards, a 4.9-yard average and three touchdowns as Parker's backup. His best game before Thursday came against the Seahawks when he had 58 yards rushing on seven carries and two touchdowns.
Bulger was 18-for-35 for 208 yards and Steven Jackson had 85 yards on 12 carries.. another nightmare.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' have had Consecutive losses to the Jaguars and Patriots and have dropped to (9-5) into a tie for the AFC North lead with the Cleveland Browns, making them more dependent on what the competition is doing heading into Thursday night's game against the St. Louis Rams.
The Steelers were 7-0 at home before losing 29-22 to Jacksonville on Sunday. They've dropped three of their last five overall, also falling to the three-win Jets in overtime, and almost became the first team to lose to the Dolphins.
The Steelers can change all that and clinch the North with a victory and a Browns loss at Cincinnati on Sunday, and can secure a playoff berth with a Tennessee loss. They won't have to worry about a hostile road crowd this week in St Louis. The Rams (3-11) are 1-6 at home and have had three games blacked out on local television due to fan apathy.
On Sunday, The Rams played before perhaps a 50-50 mix of CheeseDorks and Ram Fans in a 33-14 loss to the Packers. This week, for Pittsburgh's first regular-season game in St. Louis since 1979, it'll be the traveling Terrible Towels.
Quarterback Marc Bulger, who is from Pittsburgh and understands the Steelers' devoted fan base, said Rams players were upset to see Packers fans not just in dome but sitting in prime locations.
"You understand here, with Cardinals baseball, how people are nuts, and I think it's probably even more in Pittsburgh with the Steelers," Bulger said. "I think just as many Steelers fans will be here as last week with Green Bay, so we'll get a little taste of that."
That can't hurt the Steelers, who are 2-4 on the road. Playing inside might be a nice change of pace, too, after the Steelers failed to capitalize on a wintry mix of snow, swirling wind, chilly temperatures and a mushy field against the Jaguars.

The Rams are in trouble with 11 players on injured reserve, including top tackle Orlando Pace and two other starting offensive linemen, top pass rusher Leonard Little, cornerback Tye Hill and kick returner Dante Hall.
St. Louis has lost three of four, leaving a halftime ceremony to retire Marshall Faulk's No. 28 jersey and wide receiver Isaac Bruce's climb up the career list as highlights. Bruce, the last Ram remaining from the franchise's move to the Midwest in 1995, passed injured Marvin Harrison for fourth on the career yards receiving list with 13,983, and needs 22 this week to pass James Lofton for third.
Steven Jackson is coming off a season-best 143 yards rushing and Bulger, who missed two games with a concussion, emerged with a clear head after absorbing four sacks.
The Rams have been in every game at halftime this year, but have been outscored 217-76 in the second half and in 10 games have not scored a touchdown after the break. They'll need a rare sustained effort to succeed against the Steelers' top-rated defense, paced by Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu, that allows only 16.7 points per game.
The Steelers have gone two games without a sack. But they have two shutouts, and have limited six opponents to 10 or fewer points.
"We know the adjustments we'll have to make," Polamalu said. "It's up to us, it's not up to them. That's kind of our mentality."
Roethlisberger has 29 touchdown passes, one more than the previous franchise record set by Terry Bradshaw in 1978, to pace an offense that's been up and down. The Steelers were outgained 421-217 in total offense by Jacksonville, with 100 yards coming from NFL rushing leader Willie Parker.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Gus Frerotte carries the blame for the St. Louis Rams' last home loss. He can take credit for the team's first home win, too.
Frerotte threw three touchdown passes in the first half, then sweated out two second-half interceptions in a 28-16 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Rams' first home win this season after five setbacks.
"I was proud of the way he came out and competed and really gave us a spark," coach Scott Linehan said. "He really only had two bad throws in the second half, which were critical errors, but as a team we overcame them."
Frerotte, who fumbled a routine snap on fourth-and-goal from the 1 in the final minute of a 5-point loss to the Seahawks last week at home, needed a defensive stop after Chris Crocker's interception and 16-yard return to the Rams 33 with 5:33 left gave the Falcons a shot at the lead.

A ton of Injuries have played a big part in the St. Louis Rams' nightmare season. Even though Marc Bulger is kind of a puss we hope he can recover from his latest setback and help the Rams win for the third time in four games on Sunday when they host the struggling Atlanta Falcons.
And another thing - can someone please take over the offensive play calling?! Take some chances, spread the offense, use a tightend every now and then! Steve-oh Jackson has a big mouth but he CAN catch the ball yah know.. why know show the run and find him once and a while. I would sooo kick Scott Linehan's butt in Madden Football!

Dirt Cheap St. Louis Rams Tickets - Low Prices and Great Selection!
The St. Louis Rams still haven't won but at least they got a rushing touchdown.
Derek Anderson threw three touchdown passes, two to Braylon Edwards, and the Browns boucned back from an early 14-point deficit in a 27-20 victory over the pathetic, injury-riddled St. Louis Rams on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome. Anderson had 3 touchdown passes, 5 interceptions and a lowly 58.1 passer rating in the Browns' first two games on the road, setbacks at Oakland and New England.
"If I tie my career high, whoop-dee-doo, the big thing is we got the win," Edwards said. "We've got our heads above water for the first time in a long time."
The Browns' defense made two monster plays at the end of the game. Safety Sean Jones stopped Brian Leonard on 4th-and-1 from the 16 and Leigh Bodden picked off Marc Bulger at the Cleveland 28 with 38 seconds left.
"I had his leg and wouldn't let go," Jones said of his stop. "I thought everyone else was coming, but he dragged me for a little while."
The Browns (4-3) matched their win total from last season and have won back to back games for the first time since the 2003 season, 64 games ago. Not counting Cleveland's win in the 2004 opener, the Browns are above .500 for the first time since finishing the 2002 season.
Steven Jackson's return from a groin injury briefly energized the Rams (0-8), who scored on their first two possessions, but he left due to lower buldging disc in the second quarter. Jackson said he was compensating for the groin, which is still not totally healed.
"It's not an injury that keeps you out for weeks," Jackson said. "I wish it had happened in practice rather than in a game, but the body is funny like that."
"He was running like a wild beast and we matched his intensity, it just rubbed off on the whole team," tight end Randy McMichael said. "And then he's out and we took a step back. We can't do that."
"We didn't adjust very well because they still moved the ball down the field," coach Romeo Crennel said. "If he had been able to stay in there, it could have been a different outcome."
Bulger threw his first touchdown pass since Week 2 but missed time with a sprained right thumb in the second half and fell short on a pair of late chances to force overtime. He probably should have never come back in the game
Torry Holt had six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown for the Rams, whose start is a franchise worst by two losses.

The Rams lost lineman guard Richie Incognito sprained his right knee in the first quarter, crippling their running game. They began the game with only one opening-day starter Alex Barron, and he's not at his original position after moving from right tackle to the left side after Orlando Pace's season-ending shoulder injury in the opener.
The game was the second of four home games to be blacked out locally because it didn't sell out. Announced attendance of 62,777 was about 3,000 shy of capacity.
Although Edwards dropped an easy grab for a first down with 1:37 to go that would have enabled the Browns to run out the clock, he reached 100 yards receiving for the seventh time in his career and third time this year. All was forgotten after Bodden's game-clinching interception.
"They single-covered T.O., they single-covered Steve Smith," Edwards said. "We knew what they were going to do and we took advantage of it."
Edwards scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 5-yard catch in the third quarter to put the Browns ahead 24-17. The Browns drove 80 yards on the opening possession of the second half, during which they overcame four penalties for 25 yards and converted three third downs.
Joe Jurevicius had the big catch of the drive, a 24-yarder on third-and-17 to the St. Louis 45. Jurevicius had a season-high five receptions for 76 yards.
After totaling nine points with no touchdowns the previous two weeks, the Rams came out firing and reached the end zone on their first two drives against the porous Cleveland defense. Holt beat Bodden on a fly pattern for a 38-yard gain on the game's first play.
Jackson had four carries for 31 yards on the opening possession capped by his first score of the year on a 2-yard run. Holt's 1-yard catch in the back of the end zone made it 14-0 with about five minutes to go in the first quarter.
The Ram's have a much needed Bye week next Sunday.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams released offensive guard Claude Terrell after he was arrested early Tuesday and charged with assaulting his wife at a suburban Houston hotel.
The Rams announced Terrell's release in a news release. A spokesman declined to comment further.
Police in the Houston suburb of Webster said they found a woman with "obvious signs of physical injury" after responding to a disturbance at a Hampton Inn. The woman said she was Terrell's wife and told police he had assaulted her.
The 6-foot-2, 330-pound Terrell was found at a nearby hotel, where he was arrested and charged with assault-family violence, a class A misdemeanor, police said.
Terrell has appeared in six games with three starts for the Rams (0-7) this season.
Terrell was on probation from a 2006 assault charge of causing bodily injury to a family member, according to court records. He was given a $1,000 fine and two years of probation for that charge in February.
The 25-year-old was taken in the fourth round of the 2005 draft by the Rams out of New Mexico. He started 10 games as a rookie, but missed all of last season with a wrist injury.
The Rams did not immediately announce who would fill the roster spot. The Rams host Cleveland on Sunday.

SEATTLE (AP) -- Matt Hasselbeck was hurting. Shaun Alexander was stalled and getting booed again.
Too bad for St. Louis that nothing was wrong with Ram-killer Nate Burleson.
Burleson returned the second-half kickoff 91 yards for a game-changing touchdown and the sputtering Seahawks pulled away from winless St. Louis 33-6, sending the Rams to their worst start in their 70 years in the NFL.
Seattle (4-3) led10-3 at the half, even though St. Louis had just 41 total yards. Hasselbeck, the only constant in a skittish offense this season, was feeling the sting of a rib cage hit by Claude Wroten.
Then Burleson took the second-half kickoff, ran through a tackle near midfield and then shook off Jonathan Wade at about the 20 for his first career kickoff score. He punctuated it with a preening shake and then waving of the arms like a hawk.
Seattle took off from there.
Last November in the Rams' previous visit, Burleson's 90-yard punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter was a go-ahead score in what became the Seahawks' 24-22 win. Seattle has defeated its division rival five consecutive times.
The Rams (0-7) welcomed back Marc Bulger to the offense in a way no one should ever be welcomed.
